Movement is the number one thing that you should be doing every day to continue to feel your best and prevent deterioration. The more you move the better your body will feel.
The way the world is designed today causes restricted movements without even realizing it. Driving to work, working at a desk, eating, watching television, and looking at a computer are all activities we do on a daily basis that all have one thing in common: lack of movement.
Sitting is one of the main reasons why most people gain weight, develop aches and pains, and have decreased range of motion.
One of the best and simplest ways to break up the tightness in the body is through stretching.

Stretching on a daily basis increases circulation throughout your entire body. Adequate blood flow is needed to help reduce muscle soreness after a workout or a long day of work to regenerate and rebuild the cells in your body.
After a long day of being on my feet all day I love to do stretch #5 on the list to relieve all the pain and tension that is created throughout the day.

The body and mind have a very strong connection to each other. When your body relaxes, your mind relaxes. Have you ever noticed that when you are in discomfort or feel “tight”, you tend to feel more anxious than usual? This is because your body and mind affect each other, and maintenance care needs to be provided for both in order to maintain a healthy balance.

Increased flexibility not only relieves tightness that is associated with pain and discomfort, but has also been shown to prevent injury. People that are more flexible have a fuller range of motion in their joints, which enables your muscles to work more effectively and prevent strain.

Stretching loosens muscles and improves flexibility, which goes hand in hand with improved range of motion. The more mobility you have, the more you are protecting yourself from injury and conditioning your body to be stronger and last longer.
